to the General Manger Operations the Logistics/ Supply Chain manager will
develop and manage supply chain initiatives, leading demand and supply
planning to ensure alignment with corporate business objectives. Responsibilities
will include management of logistics, contract management, purchasing,
inventory management and warehousing. Prepare administer and coordinate
strategic purchasing and contracts. Provide global
oversight and coordination of worldwide commodity purchases between the
project and vendors/contractors.
degree in business administration, or related field or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the mining industry with
5 years in a management role.
supply chain experience is essential, ideally with some exposure to
an African environment.
analytical skills and sound understanding of supply chain practices.
literate with knowledge of accounting / business systems.
to communicate in French and English would be an asset.
have communication skills necessary to negotiate, persuade, and motivate
