Our client, one of the world's largest mining companies with operations on five continents, is looking for a Process Maintenance Planner at their flagship mine in Africa. They have an immediate opening for an experienced M
etallurgical Manager who will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of a large new Gold CIL Plant in Ghana.  Demonstrated leadership in the areas of safety, training, environmental best practices and social responsibility will be highly valued.

The plant will be a CIL process. Previous experience with Crushing, SAG and Ball Mills, Cyclone, Gravity Concentration, and Electrowinning is required. The applicant should also be familiar with International Cyanide Management, ROM Pad operations and tailings management.

  • On site you will coordinate activities with mining and other departmental heads to set performance targets as well as setting and maintaining metallurgical operations standards.
  • Ensure development and implementation of safety, training and succession planning programs.
  • Prepare budgets, cost estimates, capital expenditure requests and production schedules.
  • Monitor and Control process operating and maintenance costs.

Qualifications Required:

  • Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering degree
  • 10 years+ process plant experience
  • Management and training skills
  • Previous experience in Africa or developing countries
